DESCRIPTION:\nJoin fellow farmers & DPIRD Officers to learn how to collect accurate soil samples on your farm.\n\n\n\nTraining will be provided by DPIRD officers.\n\n\n\nYou will learn how to:\n\n\n\n\nTake accurate and representative soil samples of your farm.\n\n\n\nSet-up the sampling drill and auger.\n\n\n\nGPS your sample locations.\n\n\n\nUse sample bags correctly.\n\n\n\n\nThis training is highly recommended for participants of the Healthy Estuaries WA soil sampling program, but everyone is welcome.\n\n\n\nPreparing for the training:\n\n\n\n\nWatch the short training video before attending the field day.\n\n\n\nRespect biosecurity on our host’s property.\n\n\n\nDress appropriately (hat, boots, fly net etc.).\n\n\n\nBring a water bottle and sunscreen.\n\n\n\nIf possible, bring a charged smart phone or tablet with a SIM card slot (doesn’t need a sim).\n\n\n\nInstall FileMaker Go app if using iPhone or iPad.\n\n\n\nIf possible, bring a charged battery drill.\n\n\n\n\nEvent Logistics\n\n\n\nWhen? Friday November 15th, 9.00am to 12.30pm\n\n\n\nWhere? 89 Geocrinia Retreat, Karridale WA 6288\n\n\n\nWhat else?  BYO refillable drink bottle plus please wear appropriate & clean farm footwear and dress for the weather.\n\n\n\nThis workshop is part of Healthy Estuaries WA, a State Government initiative to improve the health of our South West estuaries.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
