'TALKIN AFTER HOURS': A FREE WORKSHOP & NETWORKING BBQ

All About Hemp

When talking about the next innovative & emerging crop - Hemp is the 'hot' topic of conversation - and for good reason. Each year has seen an increase in cropping size in Western Australia. With the growing interest in this industry there is also a growth in information sharing and actual outcomes from growers.

The importation of certified seed has been a welcome injection to the industry, as has obtaining funding through government grants for the implementation of research projects into best seed for the Region, a Statewide trial aiming to benefit all stake holders.

There are many reasons to consider introducing hemp into a traditional farming business.

  1. Exciting markets with high demand and low supply

  2. Perfect break crop for rotational programs

  3. Sustainable and regenerative

Our Presenter:

Hemp Gro (the WA Hemp Growers’ Co-op), were formed to assist growers in all areas of producing this versatile and ancient crop. They have a vision to establish, develop and support a sustainable and prosperous hemp industry for Western Australia.

They are keen to share their knowledge and information about opportunities for you in this exiting new industry so come along & hear what they have to say.

At the end of the presentation we'll relax & throw some snaggers on the barbie. It will be a great chance to keep talking about this key topic, network with our presenter and local landholders who have experiences to share.

Can't make it to the presentation? Don't worry, you are still very welcome to come along to this part of the event, we'd love to see you there!
