What We Do

Our Vision is to promote a sustainable agriculture agriculture community in Blackwood Region, where sustainability is measured in economic, social and environmental terms.

What We Do

Over the last 24 years, the Lower Blackwood LCDC has successfully initiated, championed and completed many projects that promoted sustainable agriculture in the region and protected the health of the iconic Blackwood River, Hardy Inlet and surrounding catchment bringing over $3 million in outside investment. We aim to double this investment over the next 5 to 10 years.

The Lower Blackwood Land Conservation District Committee respectfully acknowledges the past and present traditional owners of the land on which they conduct their activities, the Wardandi and Bibbulmen people and carry out their work mindful of the culture and history associated with that land.
