Sunflower seeds!
Where can I source these, other than small packets at Bunnings?
I have found some at Happy Valley seeds, 100g (approx 1,600 seeds) for $25.
Suggestions?

@john-everard I can’t locate the latest Nutrien lists – but I *thought* that sunflowers were in one of the mixes?

@john-everard – I’ve found the list and the UPDATED 2023 Premium Regen Seed mix has sunflowers in it – I’ll bring the lists to show you tomorrow

To seed or not to seed?
The question is not about whether it will rain or not, but about seed coating.
I know this will happen at the next workshop, but what will it do?
This is all new to me.

my understanding is that coating the seed will/would help with germination and nutrition for the seed in its early stages of growth, @john-everard esp given that our soils will be ‘asleep’ for this first seeding. Yes, looks like there’s no need to panic yet, more like 3mm 😏
The seed coating workshop will be covering compost extract coating as well as legume rhizobia and mycorrhizae inoculation.
At the very least, if you haven’t had the legumes you’ll be seeding on your property before, it’d be worth getting the right groups if rhizobia for that seed from…

Dear All,
I just picked up some bags of Premium Green Manure Blend from Nutrien in Margs.
I was also able to get 1 kg bag of chicory($22/kg) and 1 kg bag of plantain ($17/kg).
Ken was very helpful.
