Some follow up photos post the Soilkee seeding.
No real rain post seeding 4 weeks ago so it has all been irrigation.
Competition is causing the expected challenges with some areas being hard to see any seed coming up at all. But other areas are relatively easy to see.
Jury’s still out on the benefit of the Soilkee. Spacing looks too wide to me,…

Cover crop seeded same day, same species, same rate. Fairly decent karri loam soil. Healthy growth and no red legged earth mite damage on all the paddocks except one area where some soil scraped off to construct a dam was spread. Same parent soil, just without seasons of pasture growth and biological activity to improve soil function… Read more

The season has well and truly broken. For those of you seeding cover crops or multi species pastures, if you havent got them in the ground yet, the weeds have now getminated and some form of weed control will be necessary prior to planting. Small weeds are much easier to deal with than big ones so the sooner the better. Also good to…

Images dated 2 Oct 22 ex drone flyover of part of our regen. ag. cover crop trial . 5.4 Ha total crop area. Seed was a mix of Arrowleaf clover, Hairy Vetch, Fava Bean, peas, Bartolo bladder clover, prima gland clover, hykon rose clover, Saia Oats, Eliza serradella, Forage rape. Sown at approx. @ 75 kg/Ha.
