I purchased 40 acres of conservation registered bush land around 8 years ago in December of 2014. I bought this property with the vision of looking after, caring and properly managing the native flora and fauna as well as managing weeds and introduced pests. The cleared land I have is around 12 acres and was previously farmed. the cleared land boarders an inlet to the Scott river which is in poor condition as the previous owner/farmer allowed live stock access to the river to drink so the river bank has some erosion due to cattle traffic and not very clean. I’m looking to be a part of this group so I can learn as much as I can to help get this land and water way back to full health and protect all the native flora and fauna within the area. It has taken me all these years to be in a position to build on the property so I am not yet living down there full time at the moment but I am very very close to being finished and I want to learn and apply regenerative farming techniques to the property, cover crops, regenerate the soil and have a permaculture style set up with how I manage and use the one to live off
