Measurement of pasture & planning the grazing

Pasture and grazing management continues to be one of the most important issues for land managers and livestock producers everywhere.

An understanding of how grass grows and can be best utilised is a critical component of any successful grazing operation – and requires the ability to be able to assess & pasture on a regular basis. This knowledge, when implemented with other key grazing management tools – graze period & pasture recovery, stocking rate & density can lead to significant productivity & profitability improvements while at the same time improving the health of the land.
