Stress-Free Stockmanship: Practical Tools for Low-Stress Livestock Handling

A live webinar event

Join us for a practical, down-to-earth session led by Bruce Maynard, 4th generation farmer, agricultural innovator, and Bob Hawke Landcare Award recipient, to explore the foundations of no-stress stock handling and how these simple, animal-centred principles can transform livestock performance, handler safety, and whole-farm efficiency

Bruce will help us unpack the how and why behind low-stress techniques:

  • Understanding livestock behaviour, refining your presence and movement, and creating calmer, more responsive animals.
  • Looking at low- and no-stress yard design, highlighting the key features that support natural livestock flow.

You’ll learn the real-world benefits of these approaches, from reduced labour and improved animal welfare to better weight gains, fewer setbacks, and a safer working environment for everyone involved.

Whether you’re new to low-stress handling or looking to sharpen your skills, this session offers practical tools and insights you can put to work straight away.

Stick around for the Q&A at the end to ask questions and share your own experiences with fellow graziers from across the region.
