If anyone wants to make a bio brew using paunch we will have some available tomorrow morning, early. You will have to be self sufficient as we will be busy doing the rest. Post code 6286. Please let me know and we may be able to work something out.

The addition of biochar to compost can improve the holding capacity, stability, biological status etc… of the finished product. Applying biochar enriched compost to the soil somewhat emulates the process used in the Amazon rainforests to create the rich terra preta soils that persist to this day. This could be a good practice to try in the poor…

Another cross post from FaceBook’s Farm-made Bioferts group. Subject is using a
paint strainer bag to soak seed in an inoculant before sowing.-
Pretty cool, we’ve been spraying it on in a concrete mixer which helps it dry.

I’m cross posting this from the FaceBook Farm-made Biofertz group. It’s an interesting follow-on from Dr James White’s interviews in which he talks about adding endophytes to corn. There is a link to free courses offered by Gowing to Seed (compiled and facilitated by Dr White and colleagues) which I am sure will be worthwhile to many.

50 litres of Molasses is required
100 litres of BAM (Beneficial Anaerobic Microbes) is needed.
Water to fill the tank (but leave some room at the top for expansion
So for a 200L version just 20l BAM & 10l of molasses
Also important to install a release valve:…

Sourcing fishmeal for hydrolysate production
Frames with heads can be purchased from fresh fish shop in Augusta for about $2.00/k bulk. The supplier Brett suggested has a truck visiting Busselton regularly on a Wednesday.

Sourcing fishmeal for hydrolysate production
Hello
WA Bait in O’Connor do a seconds mullies trap bait. They are a whole soft fish so better than heads in terms of quality. They are mullies that have gone on the floor and may have metal in the mix so not good to go through a mincer. That said they break down well in a barrel of hydrolysate. They are between $2-3 /kg for 20kg boxes. 08 9314…

Hi Daniel
There is a Facebook page ‘Free Fish Frames and Heads’ in Perth where fishos can donate their frames for people who can make better use of them.
Or you can buy a 20 kg box for $100 sold as cray bait from https://www.dogfoodperth.com.au/product-page/bait-fish-frames-crayfishing
Locally, you could try the Augusta Seafoods 615 Brindley…
